Thanks to the Coronavirus, this year’s Seaford's Christmas parade will be different Saturday, Dec. 5. Parade entries will be stationary on High Street/Pennsylvania Avenue.
Spectators will be driving through to view the entries. Beginning at 7 p.m., vehicles on Stein Highway will enter Nylon Boulevard and proceed to Pennsylvania Avenue, down High Street to Market Street. Entries will end at Markel Street in front of City Hall. Porta-potties and sanitation stations will be spread through the parade route. The Delaware Department of Health and Social Services has granted approval for this year’s parade.
Entry check-in will begin at 5 p.m. at West Seaford Elementary School on Sussex Avenue off Stein Highway. Participants will be assigned a parade number to be used for judging.
This year marks the 35th year that the Downtown Seaford Association Inc. and the City of Seaford will be sponsoring the parade. The theme is Seaford's Drive-Thru Snowflake Christmas Parade.
