Shame on Cape Gazette for publishing letter

October 11, 2019

While reading your Sept. 24 letter from Gary Vetter of Lewes, I was shocked not only at his lack of knowledge regarding Steve Smyk’s stance on the laws pertaining to dogs in restaurants, but more so at your editor’s permission to publish such an impetuous remark toward Mr. Smyk.

He threatened Rep. Smyk in that letter.

How disturbing to see such a letter to your newspaper being published. Do you read these letters before including them into your column? It appears as though you do not (which is just as disturbing.)

In addition, the writer of this letter doesn’t have his facts straight as Mr. Smyk doesn’t own a dog. Maybe the tyrant of this letter should get his facts straight before writing such an ignorant and insulting letter. Shame on both of you.
