It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shari L. Washington-Davis, 38, of Millsboro. Born Dec. 17, 1987, Shari passed away peacefully Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026.

Shari will be remembered as a fiercely loving mother, a devoted sister, and a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome, sharing laughter, and finding joy in life’s simple moments. Her warm smile and big hugs will be deeply missed but forever cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know and love her. Her ability to decorate cakes was a unique skill that drew accolades from her customers and co-workers.

She is survived by her two children: daughter, Samari L. Davis; and son, Samuel S. Davis; her mother, Tora L. Kennedy (spouse Nancy); her sister, Chivon Washington; her brother, Troy Washington (wife Jennifer), and their two children, Jay-D and Troy Jr.; her brother, Jeremy Washington, and her fraternal twin, Shawn Washington.

A private memorial service will be held by her family.
