Shepherd’s Office seeks volunteers for Halloween event Oct. 30

October 4, 2020

To take a step back from scary Halloween themes, the Shepherd’s Office in Georgetown will host Christ, Community and Candy Friday, Oct. 30. The outdoor event is open to members of the community to attend with their kids.

Organizers are looking for people to donate their trunk space and give out candy or other treats or fruits to guests. Volunteers with vehicles are asked to arrive at 1:30 p.m. to set up their parking spots on the lot at the Shepherd's Office, 408 N. Bedford St., Georgetown.

Director Jim Martin said, “We want to continue being a light to those around us and to share God's love during this tough time.”

A Bible study will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and free grab-and-go dinners and food boxes will be given out.

For more information and to sign up to volunteer, email Jim Martin at jimmymartin767@gmail.com.
