Shields students win fire prevention awards

The Lewes Fire Department presented its annual awards Jan. 15 to Shields Elementary fire prevention poster and essay contest winners.

Students received Lewes Fire Department drawstring backpacks monogrammed with their first names, small stuffed Dalmatian dogs and certificates. First-place winners will be eligible for county and state awards.
