Delaware State Police are investigating after shots were fired April 26 at a home on Slaughter Beach Road.
Police were called at 7:07 p.m. to a home in the 6000 block of Slaughter Beach Road for reports of shots fired at a residence, said Master Cpl. Heather Pepper of the Delaware State Police. Police learned two people were inside the home when an unknown vehicle drove by and fired at least four rounds in the direction of their residence, she said. One of the rounds entered through the east wall, traveled through the living room, and hit an object in the living room. A women was sitting in the living room at the time the incident occurred but was uninjured, Pepper said.
A search of the area near the residence revealed multiple shell casings located on Slaughter Beach Road.
At this time, Pepper said, there is no vehicle or suspect information.
