Showers can’t stop call of ‘play ball’ for Lewes Little League

April 17, 2019

After a two-hour delay because of rain, more than 380 young Lewes Little League players marched in the April 13 parade, ending at the ballpark along Pilottown Road. President Jerry Windish said the Lewes program is one of the largest in Sussex County, with 32 teams playing in T-ball, machine-pitch, and minor and major leagues. The Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to longtime umpire Bob Kaden.
