Shrubs poisoned at church in historic Milton

August 7, 2018

For the second time in two months, shrubs on the grounds of The Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist in Milton have been stolen.

Church officials notified Milton police Aug. 5 that shrubs had been taken and, in the case of plants near the church parking lot, sprayed with poison. In July, seven shrubs were taken from the parking lot area. Church officials say the vandalism and theft may have occurred over the previous week. The poisoned shrubs suggest a vindictive motive against the church.

Anyone with more information should call the Milton Police Department at 302-684-8547.
