Sidelines: It’s still possible!

December 21, 2018

On Sunday night, the Philadelphia Eagles pulled off a fantastic feat and got their much-needed win over the Los Angeles Rams. The Eagles’ offense played quite well, especially Nick Foles, who was playing his first game since week two of the season. The defensive line played one of their best games of the season. No offense to anyone, but it was about time to see that kind of performance out of them. Fletcher Cox looked awesome and is Pro Bowl material.

I hope the Eagles let Nick Foles finish out the regular season as their starting quarterback. He's earned that. Even though it is still very unlikely for the Eagles to make the playoffs, it's all still up for grabs for now. The Eagles have to win their last two games and have Minnesota lose one game in order to make the playoffs. There is absolutely no point in rushing Carson Wentz back to play until next year. Now we just have to hope the entire team steps up.

In Premier League soccer news, I am personally very happy that Manchester United decided to fire Jose Mourinho as manager. He is a very arrogant person with the media and his players. He acts like he is the smartest person ever to coach soccer. He had already been fired from the English Premier League team, Chelsea, for not being able to manage those players. It will be interesting to see if Manchester United does better with their new coach.

It is almost halfway through the season and Liverpool is one point ahead of Manchester City for the league lead. Liverpool has never won the championship in the 26 year history of the Premier League. I hope this is their year.

Happy Holidays to everyone. See you on the sidelines.
