September 17, 2018

Small businesses are increasing their efforts to market their businesses through social media channels, and the Delaware Small Business Development Center in Georgetown will host a series of four free social media workshops to share information from some of Delaware’s leading social media experts starting Tuesday, Oct. 2. All classes will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the SBDC office, 103 W. Pine St., Georgetown.

Facebook for Business will be presented by Mike Fox of Splash DesignWorks Tuesday, Oct. 2. Students will learn to understand the concept of pages, groups and how Facebook advertising works for businesses of all sizes.

Instagram will be presented by Natalie Hines of Delaware Technical Community College Tuesday, Oct. 16. Students will learn the power of pictures and how to build a visual brand with this rapidly growing social media tool.

Social Media Time Management will be presented by Brooke Miles of Delaware ShoutOut Tuesday, Oct. 30. A business owner’s time is critical. Miles will share strategies to effectively manage social media and marketing to help business owners work smarter, not harder.

Social Media Return on Investment will be presented by Chris Rausch of the Cape Gazette. Students will learn how to measure social media presence to ensure they are getting the most impact for their time and money.

Although the workshops are free, space is limited. To preregister, go to https://clients.delawaresbdc.org/Events. Participants can sign up for one or all four workshops, space permitting. For more information, call 302-856-1555.
