Sound healing workshop set July 12

July 9, 2018

Chrissy Ehrhart and Julie Fisher will lead a sound healing workshop from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, July 12, at The Yoga Studio in Peddlers Village on Route 24. Cost is $40 at the door.

Ehrhart and Fisher offered a similar workshop in June; it was so successful they are offering it again and adding an extra hour.

Tammy Patterson participated in the June workshop. She said, “I recommend this class to everyone I talk to. I have tried every way I know to meditate or even just calm my mind, and I could never achieve it. This class was the highlight of my week, and when Chrissy and Julie work together it sounds like angels are right in the room. My body seems to float to a place of total peace. I find messages from my angels and a calm I have never achieved by any other method of meditation. I am so grateful I found this class.”

Ehrhart and Fisher use a variety of instruments to create a soundscape that allows the brainwaves of the participants to lengthen and slow down, facilitating an altered meditative state where healing and insight can spontaneously occur.

Ehrhart is the owner and operator of Zenna Wellness in Berlin, Md. She is a certified sound healer, trained in the medicinal and scientific aspects of sound healing. She has been practicing for three years. She studied sound healing in Baltimore and at UCLA’s Semel Institute for Neuroscience. She is Munayki-initiated, having received the 9 Rites. She is a master of Usui Reiki, a master of Kundalini Reiki and a shamanic practitioner. Her sound therapy program is being successfully implemented at Cedar Chapel Special School in Snow Hill, Md.

Delaware native Julie Fisher has been developing her unique gift for sound healing since 1994. She began practicing the healing arts in 1998 in New York City, studying with master healers Yamuna Zake, Alexandra Marquardt and Jodi Serota. She owned and operated a private healing practice in New York for eight years. Over the past four years, she has led sound healing meditations in Hawai’i, Tennessee, North Carolina and Delaware.
