Southern Delaware Chorale is preparing for its 2026-27 season and seeks members of all ages who enjoy singing.

The first weekly rehearsal and annual potluck dinner will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 25, at Georgetown Presbyterian Church, 203 N. Bedford St., Georgetown. New and returning members are welcome. RSVPs are requested at southerndelawarechorale.org.

The first few weeks of rehearsals are open to prospective members, giving singers an opportunity to meet ensemble members, participate in rehearsals and experience the chorale before making a commitment to join for the season. 

The season will also mark the beginning of new artistic leadership, as Amy Morgan begins her tenure as the chorale’s artistic director, joined by new accompanist Katherine Williams.

Concerts planned for the upcoming season are Making Spirits Bright at 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5; Southern Delaware Sings at 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 27; and Bright is the Ring of Words at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 24. All concerts will be held at Epworth United Methodist Church near Rehoboth Beach.

A non-audition, nonprofit community choir, the Southern Delaware Chorale provides opportunities for local singers to hone their craft and bring the beauty of choral masterworks to audiences across the region.
