Speak Out Against Hate will meet from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Thursday, May 28, at the Lewes Public Library.
The program will highlight the importance of cultivating future youth leadership and empowering the next generation of change-makers.
SOAH will recognize student interns Emerson Sheldon and Biloxi Buffington and the meaningful social justice work they have accomplished in schools and communities throughout Sussex County.
SOAH will also honor its scholarship recipients, recognizing their commitment to advancing equity, inclusion, and justice.
Special guests will include Corie Priest, director of community engagement for the Office of Attorney General Kathleen Jennings, along with local school officials and administrators, who will speak about the students being honored and the important role young people play in building stronger communities.
“This celebration recognizes not only our students’ accomplishments, but also their vision, leadership, and dedication to creating positive change,” said Patty Maloney, SOAH president.
