St. Patrick’s Day parade canceled in Milton

The annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in Milton will not happen this year due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The Lucky Leprechaun 5K is also canceled. Parade Committee President Maryellen Kiernan said other events may happen on St. Patrick’s Day weekend, but no plans have been announced yet. The parade is sponsored by Irish Eyes in Milton, which donates money raised by the event to local civic organizations, with last year’s event benefiting the Milton Fire Department, Milton Chamber of Commerce, Milton Fourth of July fireworks fund and the Gladys Wilkins Agricultural Scholarship Fund.
