Stan Mills: Time for a break from public service

May 30, 2019

My wife, Marcia, and I have lived full time in Rehoboth Beach for over 21 years with me having devoted over half of that time - approaching 12 years - in public service as your elected representative.

It has been a privilege to serve you for four three-year terms as a commissioner in Rehoboth Beach. After much consideration, I will not be seeking re-election in the next municipal election.
Currently, Marcia and I are designing a new house within city limits with construction expected to start prior to the year’s end.  I, or more correctly, we want a hiatus to focus on the beginning of our next 20-plus years in town. I am not leaving. I will be around listening and watching - you will be seeing me in meetings and around town, and likely hearing more from me.

I remain in office and committed to representing you until early September.

Thank you again for letting me represent you as an elected official since 2007.

Stan Mills
commissioner. Rehoboth Beach
