The Sussex County Land Trust hosted Stars Over Sussex at the Cape May-Lewes Ferry terminal July 2. In addition to live music and fireworks, a drone show was part of the event. CHRIS FLOOD PHOTOS Th fireworks kicked off the holiday weekend. The line to get into the event stretched the length of the parking lot. Cars drive by on Cape Henlopen Drive in Lewes as the fireworks go off. At one point, there was a dual fireworks and drone show. The fireworks light up Delaware Bay. The big bang of fireworks explodes into the air. There were lots of EMS and other emergency personnel on hand just in case. Getting onto the grassed area of the Lewes Ferry terminal cost money, but the fireworks could be seen from far away. It was too hot for most people to dance, but Cindy Middlestead couldn't help herself. Fleetwood Macked performed for well over an hour before the drone and firework shows. As the sun went down, Fleetwood Macked started to shine. After the sunset, more people started to dance. Fleetwood Macked lead singer Hillary Epstein does her best Stevie Nicks. The drones take off before the show. The drones sit on the pier next to the ferry ready for the show. Silvia Dinarte wasn't the only person with a fan to help keep herself cool.
