More than 240 runners took part in the second annual Christmas in July 5K at American Legion Post 17 in Lewes.
Young runners take off for the Kiddie K.

Francisco Puac of Georgetown finished fourth with a time of 18:18.
Daniel Spahr took first place in the masters division and fifth overall in 19:48.

Runners battled the heat and humidity July 3 to show their holiday spirit at the second annual Christmas in July 5K sponsored by Lewes Dairy, American Legion Post 17, Races2Run and NOVA Timing Systems.
Stephen Garrett of Hockessin took overall honors with a time of 16:07. The women’s title was garnered by Anna Muench in 21:14.
The course was flat and scenic from Cedar Street to Market Street and back, with Christmas music being played at the finish line by WJBR.
