Steven J. Houston, 55, of Georgetown passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 15, 2020, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford.
Steve was a consultant with NMP Engineering Consultants Inc. Prior to joining NMP Engineering Consultants Inc., Steve was a self-employed construction contractor. He owned and operated Cedar Ridge Builders for many years as a highly skilled craftsman.
A Sussex County local, Steve graduated from Sussex Central High School in Georgetown, and went on to earn his associate’s degree in engineering and design from Delaware Technical Community College.
When he wasn’t at work, you could most often find Steve either tending to his vegetable garden, working on his truck or a family member’s car, or grilling up something tasty in the kitchen. His fried summer squash, homemade hot sauce and Christmas Chex Mix will be especially missed.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Houston; and stepfather, Elwood R. Wilson.

Houston-Behrens; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
