Stonewater Creek Men’s Club awards scholarships

The Stonewater Creek Men’s Club has announced the winners of its annual Bishop Nowotnik Memorial Scholarship Program.

Recipients are Tyler Burger, who will be attending Salisbury University; Rylie Burke, who will attend Old Dominion University; Lucian Mihalics, who will be a student at Delaware Technical Community College; Krista Orobono, who has been accepted to the College of Charleston; and Alana Vitiello, who will be attending the University of Delaware.

Each was awarded $400 toward higher education expenses. Club members presented the scholarship checks June 30 at the community clubhouse in Millsboro.

Scholarships are funded by sponsorships for the Flags for Heroes display placed at the community entrance on patriotic holidays throughout the year.
