Continuing a trend, Rehoboth Beach has installed new stop signs at the T-intersection of Hickman and Laurel streets. A city press release Oct. 1 said the signs were added to provide safety to this intersection.
In the past couple years, as more bicyclists and pedestrians use city streets, the city has made a number of safety improvements – a stop sign at the T-intersection of Henlopen Avenue and Grove Street; stop signs on Henlopen Avenue at the intersection with Easton Street; stop signs on Columbia Avenue at the intersection with Second Street; and a speed cushion on Columbia Avenue at the intersection with Kent Street.
The city urges caution while drivers become acquainted with the new signs at Hickman and Laurel. Questions regarding the stop signs may be directed to the Communications Department at 302-227-6181, Ext. 522, or email@example.com.
