Sister Rosa’s No Babies Wet Behind Diaper Drive is returning with a stuff the bus event Saturday, Feb. 9, to Saturday, Feb. 16, at Apple Electric on Route 24, Rehoboth Beach.

A Sister Rosa’s Diaper Drive Girls’ Night Out will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the Summer House in downtown Rehoboth Beach. Attendees are each asked to bring a box of diapers, which will be added to the stuff the bus efforts. This annual initiative was created and organized by Lisa Prestipino, owner of Apple Electric.

Prestipino said, “Sister Rosa’s No Babies Wet Behind Diaper Drive is truly a community effort, and we are very thankful to those who continue to return year after year. This initiative has grown, and we are happy to turn it into a weeklong event.”

Thousands of diapers have been donated throughout the years by the truckloads to benefit the Rosa Health Center in Georgetown, which provides healthcare and services for mothers located throughout Sussex County. Making this a countywide effort, the 2019 diaper drive will also benefit the Harry K Baby Pantry at the Community Resource Center in Rehoboth Beach, and La Red Health Center with locations in Georgetown, Milford and Seaford.

Organizers are Lisa Prestipino; Delaware State Auditor Kathy McGuiness; Jennifer Burton, Big Fish Charitable Foundation; Karen Falk, Rehoboth Beach Main Street executive director; and St. Edmond Roman Catholic Church. For more information, call Apple Electric at 302-645-5105.
