Summer organ recital set Aug. 16 in Rehoboth
The Episcopal Parish of All Saints' Church & St. George's Chapel will continue its 10th Annual Summer Organ Recital Series following the healing service at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 16, at All Saints’ in Rehoboth Beach.
This year’s series, celebrating the Year of the Woman, features all female organists from the local area and abroad. This week, All Saints’ welcomes back Julie Vidrick Evans, acclaimed concert organist and church musician, to close out the summer. Evans is director of music for the Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church, Chevy Chase, Md. She holds degrees from James Madison University and the Catholic University of America. She has concertized extensively in such locations as the Kennedy Center, Washington National Cathedral, Princeton University and Trinity Church, Wall Street, New York, as well as in Europe.
All Saints' Church is at 18 Olive Ave. in Rehoboth Beach. The church parking lot is near the southeast corner of Olive Avenue and First Street. All are welcome.
