Summer reading fun at St. Peter’s to start July 6

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and the Mende George Lending Library will present summer reading fun sessions from 1 to 3 p.m., Wednesdays in July, on the patio in front of the church at the corner of Second and Market streets in Lewes.

A different children’s book will be featured each week, with each reading followed by a fun activity.  


"My Voice is a Trumpet," written by Jimmie Allen, will be the featured book July 6. Music and motion activities will follow.


"The Good for Nothing Tree" by Amy-Jill Levine and Sandy Eisenberg Sasso will be highlighted July 13. Fine motor activities will follow.


"We are Water Protectors" by Carol Lindstrom will be the focus July 20. Water play activities will follow.

"What is God Like" by Rachel Held Evans and Matthew Paul Turner will be highlighted July 27. Arts and crafts will follow.
