Sundance 2019 seeks hosts and sponsors

June 10, 2019

Sundance, the annual two-day Labor Day weekend event that raises funds for CAMP Rehoboth, is seeking hosts and sponsors.

One of the largest and most spectacular events held in Rehoboth Beach, Sundance 2018 saw more than 1,500 people participate, and many more read the posters, articles, ads, and publicity that name the supporting sponsors and hosts.

Sundance 2019 – Rainbow XXXII: Ultraviolet Disco Day-Glo Sunrise promises to be the biggest and best Sundance ever; it will include the Sundance Disco Twilight Tea Dance that premiered last year. The funds raised support local community health, and the fair and equitable treatment of everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. In 2018 alone, CAMP Rehoboth outreach programs served more than 6,500 individuals, and its health and wellness programs served nearly 10,000.

Sundance provides an ideal opportunity for area individuals, businesses and organizations to do well by doing good. Through serving as a host or sponsor, they can gain visibility or promote their business or cause, all while helping CAMP Rehoboth.

The Sponsor ($1,000 minimum) and Supporter ($500 minimum) levels provide the most dramatic exposure and include tickets, T-shirts, and admission to the private Sundance Lounge at the dance. The Sponsor level includes logo placement on all materials.

Gold and Diamond levels are also available for premier placement.

The Host fee ($100) includes one ticket to each of the two events, listing on the invitation and promotional materials, and a Sundance 2019 T-shirt. There is also a $300 individual or business Gold Host listing that includes all the above benefits, plus premier placement on posters and ads.

Monies raised support CAMP Rehoboth, an organization that operates a full-service community center; offers a variety of activities, cultural events, service projects, and educational programs; and advocates for a community of inclusion in Rehoboth Beach.

Sundance offers two nights of fun. The first event, from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 31, features a silent auction, live auction with auctioneer Lorne Crawford, and an all-night cocktail buffet and open bar. Up for bid will be a dazzling array of enticing items including art, trips, gifts, sports memorabilia and one-of-a-kind opportunities. The second night, Sunday, Sept. 1, is the two-for-one Sundance event which includes the Sundance Disco Twilight Tea from 7 to 10 p.m. featuring DJ legend Robbie Leslie. The traditional Sundance from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. features music by DJ/Remixer Joe Gauthreaux and lights by Paul Turner. The bar and a cocktail buffet will be open all night. Participants can attend either or both nights of the event. Tickets are $50 for one night, $90 for both.
