The sixth annual Paradise Crushin’ Cancer 5K held Sept. 26 at Paradise Grill in Long Neck saw 186 runners/walkers finish the race.

Tyler Muse, 28, was the overall winner in 17:55, followed by Natalie Lutz, 39, in 18:49.

Mike Sewell, 52, was overall masters winner in 19:03, while Lori Holdsworth, 60, won the female masters title in 23:17.

The top three runners broke 20 minutes, the top 16 broke 25 minutes, and the top 45 broke the 30-minute barrier.

“It's the only race with a common start and finish line where you can choose two different courses,” said Race Director Tim Bamforth. “You can run along the water or stay inside the park, which is mostly shaded.”

Mackenzie, 9, Manning, 6, and Madden Bean, 8, swept the 9-and-under category.
