Susan Walker, loved her family

Susan Walker, 73, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022. She is predeceased by her loving parents William and Marie Markert of Lindenwold, N.J.; and her dear sister, Nancy. She is survived by her husband, John; her son, J.J.; her daughter, Jessica; her son-in-law, Brian; and her two granddaughters, Alanna and Jocelyn. Her family meant the world to her, and everything she did was for them. 

Susan was born in Camden, N.J., and was a 1967 graduate of Camden Catholic High School. She moved to Poughkeepsie, N.Y., in 1971 and had a family there. She also lived in Milton for a time. While her favorite thing was spending time with her beloved family, she also enjoyed cooking, antiquing, and traveling.

As she was always selfless and did not enjoy being the center of attention, she requested in advance that no funeral services or wake take place. In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, stjude.org.
