Sussex County Genealogical Society offers virtual meeting Sept. 18

The Sussex County Genealogical Society will present Lisa Louise Cooke speaking on “How to Reopen and Work a Genealogical Cold Case,” during the society’s virtual meeting at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 18.

Cooke is the producer and host of the Genealogy Gems podcast, an online genealogy audio show at GenealogyGems.com that has been downloaded over 3 million times. She also hosts the weekly YouTube Live show, Elevenses with Lisa. She is the author of four books, including “The Genealogist’s Google Toolbox Second Edition,” “Mobile Genealogy” and “How to Find Your Family History in Newspapers,” and the Google Earth for Genealogy video series. She also works as a writer, instructor and podcaster for Family Tree Magazine.

She is a sought-after keynote speaker and has been featured in “Who Do You Think You Are?” along with “RootsTech,” the National Genealogical Society national conference, MyHeritage Live and the Australasian Federation of Family History Organisations Congress.
