Office projects, subdivisions, townhomes among approvals
February 19, 2019

At its Feb. 14 meeting, the Sussex County Planning and Zoning Commission approved several site plans.

The following preliminary site plans were approved:

Osprey Point at the end of Old Landing Road near Rehoboth Beach. The community will have 217 single-family lots on 132 acres.

Sussex Square, a 9,999-square-foot, 2-story office building fronting Sussex East manufactured home park along Route 9 near Lewes.

Orchard Plaza, a 55,000-square-foot medical/dental clinic and office building along Old Orchard Road near Lewes.

Lewes Crest, a 33-unit townhouse community near the intersection of Nassau Road and Route 1 near Lewes.

For projects with approved preliminary site plans, developers must submit final site plans for review and approval by either the commission or planning and zoning staff before construction can begin.

Revised site plans were approved for the following:

Coastal Tide, formerly known as Arbors at Cottagedale, a 168-unit apartment complex off Plantation Road near Lewes, to reduce the pool house from 4,302 square feet to 2,527 square feet. Brownfield site remediation is nearly complete on the parcel.

Residences at Rehoboth Bay, a six-building condominium community along Route 24 on Love Creek, for relocation of its boat ramp, dock and slips, and reduction in the size of its recreation center from 3,900 square feet to 2,673 square feet.
