Sussex Habitat to host fundraiser Aug. 5

Imagine visiting Brazil, France, India, Italy, Mexico and other countries, all under one tent and within a two-hour time frame. Sussex County Habitat for Humanity supporters can do just that it its intercontinental food and tablescape fundraising event from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 5, at the ReStore in Lewes.

Local artists, florists and event planners will design a table with the theme Celebrations of Joy from around the world. Local eateries and caterers will be providing culinary samples to match the celebrations represented in the tablescape designs. Attenees get to vote for their favorite tables and treats. The evening also includes live music, a 50/50 raffle, silent auction for select tablescapes and door prize giveaways.

“We are thrilled to be able to host community events again, and look forward to seeing a lot of people there,” said Kevin Gilmore, executive director, Sussex County Habitat for Humanity. “Where else do you get to experience celebrations and food from around the world without leaving Sussex County?”

Supporting Sussex County Habitat for Humanity by attending fundraisers and making donations helps to build affordable housing locally.
