Sussex Republican women hear from Judge Jane Brady

October 13, 2019

Sussex County Republican Women’s Club members were delighted to have Jane Brady as the featured speaker at their dinner meeting held Sept. 25 at the Sussex County Association of Realtors building in Georgetown.

Brady was appointed judge to the Superior Court in 2005. A graduate of Christiana High School, she went on to graduate from the University of Delaware and received her law degree from Villanova University School of Law. She was the first woman elected to the office of attorney general for the State of Delaware and served from 1995-2005.

This year, Brady was elected as head of Delaware’s Republican Party. She is dedicated to supporting candidate development by helping them learn what it takes to run a successful campaign. She notes that the Republican Party is at a big disadvantage in the state.

She said volunteers are needed to help those Republican candidates get the good work they are doing out into the public.

It is the mission of the Sussex County Republican Women’s Club to assist in the election of Republican candidates, act as an advocate for the Republican Party’s principles and empower women to participate in the political process. The club has been actively engaging women in the political process for more than 60 years. For more information, go to www.scrwc.net.
