Sussex Tech drama students present ‘9 to 5’ starting Feb. 13

Tickets are now on sale for the office satire “9 to 5,” a musical comedy from Dolly Parton, which takes the stage as the featured winter performance from Sussex Technical High School’s award-winning drama program. Shows are at 7 p.m., Thursday and Friday, Feb. 13 and 14, and 3 and 8 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15, at Clear Space Theatre in Rehoboth Beach.

The musical, based on the 1980 movie of the same name starring Dolly Parton, features a trio of women who can’t take any more abuse in the workplace, so they take control from their sexist, bigoted boss.

Tickets are $12 for students and senior citizens, and $15 for non-students, available from teacher Anthony Natoli at anthony.natoli@sussexvt.k12.de.us. All seating is general admission.

The cast and crew includes: sophomore Callie Goff, Bridgeville; juniors Nina Fike and Julia Sturla, Dagsboro; seniors Kiaya James and Grace Morris, and junior KyZei Vester, Georgetown; seniors Madelyn Celmer, Jessica Snead, and Kha’lil Whaley, sophomore Sam Jones, and freshman Jack Jones, Laurel; seniors Megan Moriarty, Sobe Okoye, and Jacob Slabonik, juniors Delina Christenbury, Abby Krams, and Madelyn Moore, and sophomore Jacob Youse, Millsboro; junior Elena Burton, Milton; seniors Sophie Czerwinski and Chloe Liebal, Rehoboth Beach; seniors William Clouser, Cameron Drace, Alexa Griffith, and Stella Wilson, junior Tyler Sample, sophomore Micah Massado, and freshman Sophia Littleton, Seaford; and sophomore Kathlene Taulbee, Selbyville.
