Taco Reho to bring back monthly Nite Mrkt beginning May 23

May 20, 2019

Taco Reho, the notorious SoCal-inspired taco truck on Coastal Highway, is welcoming the summer season with the return of its monthly Nite Mrkts. The idea was born from owner Billy Lucas’ travels in Thailand. A night market has a carnival-like atmosphere, welcoming locals and nomads to share their craft and sell their merchandise under a retro array of lights, colored tents and the moon. The experience is what Taco Reho aims to parallel, far away from Asia.

“The thing I love about the night markets is that they accept a wide array of artists, craftsmen and musicians,” said Lucas. “We aim to showcase different artists every month, while bringing back some of your favorites. It is meant to support these artists and their craft, and we’re stoked to be the venue for that.”

The market is meant to be all-encompassing, showcasing a variety of different artistic outlets including visual artists, tarot card readers, live painters, alcohol-infused cupcakes by Calypso Creations, surfboards, custom handbags, street food, and more.

Taco Reho is looking for interested vendors for the upcoming Nite Mrkts to be held May 23, June 20, July 18, Aug. 16, and Sept. 19. For details, email Erica Wiegman, marketing manager, at erica@lavidahg.com.
