Teen job fair prep workshop set March 22

March 15, 2023

The Lewes Public Library will host its 7th Annual Teen Job Fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, March 25, at the library, 111 Adams Ave., Lewes.

The annual fair connects teen applicants with local businesses to discuss seasonal and/or year-round employment opportunities. The fair is free of charge and open to all teens ages 14-19. No registration is required.

Participating businesses include: Acme, Best Aquatic, Chick-fil-A, City of Lewes, Dairy Queen, Humane Animal Partners, Delaware State Parks, Fins Hospitality Group, Funland, Grandpa Mac, Jungle Jim’s, Mr. Deli, Rehoboth Toy & Kite Company, Sun Outdoors, Surf Bagel and Thrasher’s French Fries.

To help teens put their best foot forward at the March 25 event, a job fair prep workshop will be offered at 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 22. The session will cover a wide range of topics for teen job seekers, from applications and interview techniques to work permits, employment law and professional etiquette.

“This year’s job fair is bigger and better than ever, with 16 businesses joining this year,” said Emily Ellinger, teen services librarian. “We’re excited to help teens, many of them looking for their first job, build confidence and navigate interviews in the supportive environment of the fair.”

To register for the March 22 workshop, go to lewes.lib.de.us or call 302-645-2733.
