Thanks to Rehoboth Fire Chief Snyder

June 3, 2019

What a great way to finish off Home Fire Sprinkler Week!! Many thanks to Rehoboth Beach Fire Chief Chuck Snyder for passing along the news about a sprinkler save in Rehoboth Beach that contained a dryer fire, minimized smoke damage, and allowed residents to stay in their residence.

This is exactly what Delaware needs more of: The protection of residences by fire sprinkler systems.

Municipal officials - during your next code adoption process, please do not delete the residential sprinkler requirement that is in the International Residential Code (and has been for 10 years).

Again, many thanks to Chief Snyder. This news certainly beats the smoke inhalation information I was originally going to send out.
