Theodora ‘Teddy’ Mary Joachimowski, office manager

Theodora "Teddy" Mary Joachimowski, 81, of Ocean View, passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019, at her residence.  She was born in Wilmington Aug. 16, 1938, daughter of the late Charles and Mary Kanterowski Janicki. 

Mrs. Joachimowski was a graduate of St. Hedwigs Parochial School.  For 38 years she worked for Delaware Neurological Associates in Wilmington, where she retired in 1994 as the office manager. 

She enjoyed her beach home where she would marvel at the beauty of nature as she enjoyed watching out the window the deer and birds at her bird feeders.  Her neighbors on Yacht Basin Road were especially important to her and brought her many hours of enjoyment while entertaining in her home.  Going fishing and traveling kept her active; however, she cherished most of all the time spent with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Joachimowski was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph John Joachimowski Sr. Aug. 8, 2013; and her brothers: Matthew and Ronald.  She is survived by her sons: Joseph John Joachimowski Jr. and wife Paula Louise of Ocean View, and Theodore Mark Joachimowski and wife Sherry Ann of Newark; her grandchildren: Tyler Mark and Taylor Marie Joachimowski of Newark; her granddaughter-in-law, Anita Marie Fasick (Chris) of Hockessin; her great-granddaughter, Madison; and her close niece and nephew: Monica Esterling of Bear and John Joachimowski of Frankford.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, at 11 a.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Clarksville Chapel, 34874 Atlantic Ave., Ocean View, where friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m.  Burial will be private.
