Thomas J. Uffner, loving son

Thomas J. Uffner, 55, a lover of the printed word, Grateful Dead follower, Libertarian, computer programmer, gardener, and loving son, has come to rest after a weary battle with cancer. May he be with our God. He was born Jan. 2, 1964, in Lebanon, Pa., son of Janet L. Morris and the late Thomas Joseph Uffner.

Mr. Uffner graduated from Cape Henlopen High School, class of 1981. He was a resident of Newark, where he was surrounded by many friends.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Uffner is survived by four siblings: Nicole Hepner of Newark, Partick Morris of Philadelphia, Pa., Stasia Gabrielle and her wife Rachael Heim of Gretna, Va., and John Long Morris III and his fiancée Peggy Zitzman of Milford.

A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 1 p.m., at All Saints’ Cemetery, 20274 Beaver Dam Road, Harbeson. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
