Thomas P. Lynch of Millsboro passed away Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026, after a long battle with Parkinson’s. Tom was born Sept. 21, 1958, on Long Island, N.Y., to the late Jessie (Dahl) and James Lynch. He spent the formative years of his youth in Lewes, where his parents moved when he was 12, and after years of wanderlust and living in many beautiful parts of the country, from Maine to Hawaii, he returned to the Lewes area to settle down and build his best life.

Tom was an accomplished carpenter and could turn a humble piece of wood into a piece of art. He was self-employed and worked on many homes in Lewes. His happiest days, though, were his “Captain Crazy” days on the bay with his family, first in his beloved and battered Jon boat, and later, on his sweet upgrade, a beautiful 18-foot Palm Beach.

Tom is survived by his partner and sweetheart of many years, Linda Savage; his son, Sean; his stepson, Matthew Savage (Lauren); grandchildren Lina, Lilly, Nora and Linden; his sister, Mary Krebs (Brian); his brother, James (Shelley); and his beloved dog, Roxie. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kate; stepson, Rob; and his parents.

Services will be private, but to celebrate Tom’s love of animals, especially dogs, the family requests that contributions be made in Tom’s memory to the Humane Animal Partners of Rehoboth Beach or a rescue of choice.
