Tickets moving fast for Possum Point Players’ ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’

November 15, 2018

It may seem too early to decorate the tree, but it’s not too early to get tickets for Possum Point Players’ production of “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Performances are Fridays through Sundays, Nov. 30, Dec.1-2, and Dec. 7-9, and tickets remaining for Sunday matinees are already down to single digits. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25; seniors and students, $24, and they may be purchased at www.possumpointplayers.org or at 302-856-3460.

This Christmas classic features all the characters everyone came to love in the movie. Clarence is likely to get his wings, George is likely to live on and get his girl, Mary, and Mr. Potter… Well, for those who don’t know the story yet, Director Jerry Gietka suggests getting tickets while they are still available and get ready for a warm and happy dose of holiday spirit. He adds, “if you do know the story, you know you want to see it again, performed live at Possum Hall.”

True to the original Frank Capra production on the big screen, the stage production of “It’s a Wonderful Life” also celebrates faith of the season and the American philosophy of hard work, fair play and the love and support of one’s family and community will be rewarded.

Coming from many areas of southern Delaware, the cast is made up of more than 20 community theatre actors of all ages. “It’s a Wonderful Life” is appropriate for all audiences.
