Toys for Tots needs volunteers to help with distribution

By the end of this week, local Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots volunteers will have collected and bagged all of the more than 10,000 toys for distribution to more than 750 families and 5,000 children in Sussex County.
Rich Corbit, Marine Corps veteran and coordinator, said all that’s needed now is more volunteers to help with distribution at the Allen Harim warehouse in Millsboro, 29984 Pinnacle Way, from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 10, through Saturday, Dec. 15. The local drive is supported by numerous businesses and organizations, including Marine Corps League Diamond State Detachment, Millsboro, and Devil Dog Detachment, Seaford.

Bicycles are always in high demand. Most of the bikes lined up here are donations from Apple Electric.
More than 700 bags are packed and ready for pick up Dec. 10 through Dec. 15.
Some of the more than 10,000 toys collected during the campaign await packing by volunteers.
Sports equipment is sure to be on many youngsters’ lists.
