Trinity Logistics celebrates professional truck drivers

September 6, 2018

Trinity Logistics, based in Seaford, along with American Trucking Associations and the entire trucking industry, is honoring the millions of professional truck drivers who work to deliver freight safely and securely every day.

“Our carrier network is the backbone of our organization, and the drivers are our biggest asset,” said Darrel Banning, senior vice president of carrier development. “We don’t talk about it much, but if you think about it, everything we need and/or consume is brought to us by truck drivers. These drivers run under strict deadlines and safety regulations to ensure that everything you need is at your disposal. Without them, we have nothing.”

During National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, Sunday to Saturday, Sept. 9 to 15, Trinity Logistics will be setting up at Flying J truck stops in Carneys Point, N.J., North East, Md., and Suffolk, Va., to recognize carriers and hand out appreciation gifts.

There are currently more than 3.5 million professional truck drivers in the United States, delivering medical supplies, food, clothing, fuel, and so much more to all corners of the nation. These men and women of the road log close to 724 billion miles and 10.55 billion tons of freight annually. Without them, America would stop.

Trinity Logistics asks everyone to take a moment during this week to recognize the significant contributions and sacrifices of these professionals and their families. These drivers exercise efficiency and safety so businesses and people alike can confidently ship their goods throughout the country.

Trinity Logistics sends a special thank you to the 70,000 carriers in its network.
