Troop 2540 scouts assist with road cleanup in Lewes

May 25, 2019

Seeing a need to clear trash from neighboring streets, Lewes residents Rob Morgan, Karen Fischer and Vince Gambal adopted Cape Henlopen Drive from the state park entrance and East Savannah Road from the Dairy Queen to the drawbridge. Together they are scheduling regular times to pick up litter from the roadsides.

As a community service activity March 16, scouts and adult volunteers from Lewes Boy Scout Troop 2540 met Morgan and Fischer at the ferry terminal, spread out in groups and assisted them in clearing the designated roads.
