Two men were arrested by Delaware State Police July 15 in connection with a fight at Paradise Island in Pot-Nets Bayside.
Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe said a 38-year-old man was injured in the fight and treated for nonlife-threatening injuries. She said a 56-year-old Millsboro man was struck in the altercation but did not sustain any injuries.
Jaffe said police arrested Richard Knight Jr., 43, of Wilmington, on charges of felony second-degree assault and disorderly conduct. A 37-year-old unnamed Wilmington man was arrested on misdemeanor charges of offensive touching and disorderly conduct, Jaffe said. Knight was released on $2,750 unsecured bond, while the Wilmington man was released on $500 unsecured bond.
Paradise Island owner Al Tortella said the incident stemmed from miscommunication between the two men and was broken up within seconds. RYAN MAVITY PHOTO
