The University of Delaware held its annual Delaware Athletics Guest Server Fundraiser July 23, at The Starboard in Dewey Beach.
During the event, supporters dropped their food and beverage receipts into buckets assigned to their favorite University of Delaware sports squads. Proceeds and tips benefited participating Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens teams. Representatives from the athletics programs and many UD fans were on hand to enjoy the beach atmosphere while supporting the cause.
Guest servers were: Mike Brey, former men’s basketball head coach and current Atlanta Hawks assistant coach; Martin Ingelsby, head men’s basketball coach; Ryan Carty, head football coach; Jason Gandhi, general manager for men’s and women’s basketball; Greg Mamula, head baseball coach; Lilly Siskind, women’s lacrosse assistant coach; and Ella Rishko, UD women’s lacrosse player and Cape High graduate.
