A Rehoboth Beach man has been charged after police say he robbed the Forgotten Mile Valero on Nov. 6.
Armed with a sharp instrument, Cody B. Reeves, 24, entered the Route 1 gas station at 7:05 p.m. and approached the clerk, said Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe of the Delaware State Police.
Reeves demanded cash from the register and he left with an undisclosed amount, Jaffe said. The clerk was not injured.
Jaffe said Reeves is connected to four armed robbery cases and was taken into custody in New Castle on Nov. 12. In connection with the Rehoboth robbery, he was charged with four counts of first-degree robbery, four counts of possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony and wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony. Reeves also faces charges in connection with other robberies that include: second-degree burglary, felony theft, selling stolen property, three counts of misdemeanor theft and falsifying business records.
Reeves was arraigned at Sussex County Court of Common Pleas and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $333,500 secured bond.
