Uphold Rehoboth planners’ decision

January 12, 2018

Everyone knows the Rehoboth Beach Plaza will be redeveloped. Given the rundown, unsafe condition of the property, most people are in favor of development. The community groups and neighbors want the redevelopment to be safe, with adequate parking, environmentally correct, while protecting the adjoining neighborhoods.

The Rehoboth Planning Commission unanimously determined this was a major subdivision.

This decision give the city the needed control to see that the project is done correctly. What the city commissioners decide will also affect the Walls property at Scarborough and Christian across from Lingo Realty.

It is important that the city commissioners uphold the planning commission decision.
