VFW Auxiliary to host Family Freedom Festival Sept. 19 

Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 7234 will host its inaugural Family Freedom Festival from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 19, at VFW Post 7234, 29265 Marshy Hope Way, Ocean View. This free, family-friendly event will feature kid-friendly yoga participation for those who bring a yoga mat or beach towel, a Civil War demonstration/re-enactment, and patriotic-themed presentations and activities including a scavenger hunt, selfie booth and gift bags.

There will be food, music and other entertainment. Attendees will discover volunteer opportunities and educational scholarships the VFW offers and how to apply.
