Victoria Margaret Wyman, noted graphic artist

Victoria Margaret Wyman, 65, of Lewes passed away Friday, Aug. 3, 2018, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford.  She was born Jan. 4, 1953, in Washington, D.C., daughter of the late Lehr Saunders Wyman and Carol Margaret (Stout) Wyman.

Ms. Wyman received her bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Occidental College in Los Angeles, Calif. She made a lifelong career as a noted graphic artist in the Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Furry Communities, her comic series Xanadu being a premier example of her work. Ms. Wyman was a lover of all things creative: art, reading, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and writing fantasy and fan fiction, especially the mystery fantasy series Raven. Most of all, she loved caring for her beloved cats: Squeak, Peep Peep, Saffron, Stormy, Raven and Tigger.

Ms. Wyman is survived by her brother Webb Leslie Wyman of Lewes; her sister-in-law Lynn (Barlow) Wyman of Annapolis, Md.; her nephew Brett Russell Wyman of Annapolis, Md.; her dear friends: Marianne G. Petrino-Schaad and her husband Tom Schaad of Arlington, Va., Paul Defenbaugh of Rankin, Ill., Charles M. Groark of King of Prussia, Pa., Lex Nakishima of Los Angeles, plus a multitude of friends too numerous to list; and last, but not least, her beloved six cats.

Services will be private. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
