March 23, 2019

The Village Improvement Association of Rehoboth Beach will hold its annual fashion show with doors opening at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 6, at the Atlantic Sands Hotel on the Boardwalk, a spacious new venue for this popular event.

The theme for this year’s spectacle is While Looking in the MERR, See What You Can Sea, referring to the Marine Education, Research & Rehabilitation Institute, this year’s special beneficiary chosen by VIA President Carole Suchanek.

Striking and stylish women’s fashions from area stores Blooming Boutique, Cool Springs Cottage, Deanna’s, Funky Lady, the Pink Crab and White House/Black Market will be modeled by VIA members.

Tickets are $40 for this usually sold-out event which includes lunch catered by the excellent chefs of the Atlantic Sands Hotel.

Guests will have the opportunity to browse and bid on the lavish selection of jewelry, clothing, home goods and gift items for the silent auction. Raffle tickets will be sold for the many baskets-of-cheer and other favors.

Proceeds will benefit MERR, which provides rescue and care for marine mammals and sea turtles in distress and conducts research programs throughout Delaware on marine ecology and conservation and other local charities that the club supports.
