As one of many community service projects throughout the year, AARP Chapter 5340 members volunteer at Harrison House Bingo in Georgetown the first Tuesday of each month.
Chapter member Jeanne Hammel recently spent over 100 hours crocheting 35 lap blankets, one for every resident who attends Bingo. The residents were surprised and appreciative.
The next chapter meeting will be at noon, Monday, Jan. 8, at Georgetown Presbyterian Church. For more information, call Mary Lee at 302-945-2607.
