Delaware Hospice recently announced the appointment of Becca Graner, MBA, as its new chief operating officer.

With experience leading healthcare organizations through periods of growth and change, Graner brings a thoughtful approach to operations, team engagement and long-term organizational success. She will oversee Delaware Hospice’s clinical operations as well as strategic development focused on business growth and information technology.

“Becca is an accomplished healthcare leader whose extensive operational expertise, collaborative leadership style and passion for building strong teams make her an exceptional fit for our organization,” said Charles McDonough, president and CEO of Delaware Hospice. “She brings a fresh strategic perspective and collaborative approach that will help us further our mission of delivering compassionate, high-quality care to every patient and family we serve."

Graner joins Delaware Hospice following a distinguished career spanning nonprofit behavioral healthcare and multi-site healthcare operations. Her background includes leading organizational growth, operational transformation, strategic planning and leadership development, with a consistent focus on delivering exceptional patient care and building high-performing teams.

She began her career in community and correctional-based social work, supporting individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. After earning her master of business administration degree, Graner transitioned into nonprofit behavioral healthcare leadership, where she played an instrumental role in organizational growth and program expansion.
 
In 2015, Graner entered orthopedic healthcare, assuming increasing leadership responsibilities that culminated in her role as chief operating officer for the northeast region of a nationwide orthopedic and vascular practice. Throughout her tenure, she oversaw regional operations, strategic growth initiatives, market expansion, organizational restructuring, clinical and administrative operations, and implementation of scalable operational models designed to support long-term success.

Graner's leadership philosophy reflects a balance of strategic vision and operational excellence. Her passion for developing leaders, strengthening organizational culture and advancing quality improvement has been a hallmark of her career. A lifelong learner, she recently earned her Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification and remains committed to continuous professional development.
